Medium-chain fatty acids are capable of helping you:

    • Maintain a healthy weight — since they make you feel full
    • Specifically reduce stored body fat — since they also raise your metabolic function
    • Have more energy
    • Think more clearly
    • Experience better digestion
    • Balance hormone levels
    • Improve your mood
    • Fight bacterial infection and viruses
    • Absorb fat-soluble nutrients from various foods

I use Organtic Unflavored MCT Oil by Nutiva - I chose this brand because I do not like the taste of coconut.  MCT can also help you achieve ketosis faster.  Google it - this type of oil is digested completely differently then other oils.  And just one teaspoon or two gives me noticeable energy so I take it before going to the gym.  You can take it by itself or put it on foods and even in drinks.  Doing so does not change its effect.

    (this is a copy/paste)

A kind of 'natural fuel' for the body and brain, MCT oil is a great source of healthy fats that can help improve sports performance, cognitive ability, weight management, gut and heart health. MCTs or medium chain triglycerides are a type of dietary fat most commonly found in coconut and palm oils.

MCT oil is actually found in breast milk, and makers of baby formula actually add MCT oil to mimic breast milk - which is good for brain development for the baby.

debra06201374ad  if you are still on a "stall"....don't add MCT Oil yet...you want your body to EAT your body fat, instead of the MCT oil.

I use an organic MCT oil that is organic and unflavored (I buy the WF brand 365). It really helps me get in my fat macros and got me into ketosis quickly at the beginning. I usually use between 1-2 tablespoons a day. When I first started I couldn't use it in the evening because it made me nauseous but 10 days in and it's no problem.
