Learning to be patient

I started Low Carb Healthy Fats about a year ago. I wanted to lose 10 pounds and stay healthy. I'm 66 years old, no health issues, active. 

I lost 3 pounds the very first week, then nothing until now (almost a year!). Although I felt great, slept better, more energy.  Last month I dropped 9 pounds in 2 weeks, without really changing anything.. It just happened. Now I'm happy, feeling good, and being careful to stay at my weight. 

I have to admit: my husband and I love to eat, love to go out, so we cheat every once in a while. But we both try to stay on track as much as possible, even at the restaurant. Also, I don't want to be 'asocial' and tell my friends I can't eat this or that. Just don't want to do that.  So, after cheating, we do 2 or 3 days of intermittent fasting. Last meal before 4 PM, then nothing until breakfast. It surprised me how easy it was, once we set our minds to it! This works well for both of us.
