Meeting fat, calorie, carb etc... targets

I’m new to the Keto diet and I’m having trouble meeting my daily fat g and my daily calorie intake. I’m either 8 to 10 g below the fat target or over by 7-10 g. Usually 200 calories less then target calorie intake? How important is it to meet targets?

  • The diet is naturally satiating so not unusual to eat less calories, and that’s a perk. As for the fat, it is your body’s source of energy. Higher one day, lower the next and it all evens out. The main thing is to keep carbs low, always meet protein, and the rest is fat/fuel.  The macros are a guide, to try and meet them perfectly is impossible. If you feel good, feel satisfied, and achieving what you want out of it that’s what matters.
