New diabetic

I am new to this forum.  In 2001, I had to have the tail of my pancreas removed and my AIC’s have been slowly increasing over the years.  I held firm at an AIC of 7 for so many years that I didn’t test for 16 months. When I tested 2 weeks ago, I was at 12 which shocked me.  So I am back on my journey of clean eating and testing.  My MD put me on  Metaformin and about an hour after my medication, I get very dizzy.  Anyone else experience this?
