Gastric Bypass and Keto?
I had full RnY surgery in 2009, lost over 150lb.. but gained a lot back. My eating habits got bad again and I have Tried everything since to eat right and lose this weight again but nothing seems to work. I have been doing very low carb and low sugars for a few weeks, I decided to go full Keto a few days ago. I just want to know is there any other RnY patients doing this? How is it working?
Thanks in advance

Yes, RNY march 1999. Lost 140. Regained more than half. Lost 15.2 on Keto since July 29. I am trying to also keep my meals no more than 1/3 cup and I’m eating close to just 500 calories and I’ve felt satisfied. I have been able to tolerate the fat just fine. I’m doing only 6 carbs, 33 Fat, 43 Protein though.

I also had a roue -n-y in 2001. I had kept my weight off for 16 year, but it was creeping back up on me. Last year I lost 30 lbs. but went on a cruise and gained it back. I just couldn’t seem to get back in the swing of things. I started two days ago and I am using carb manager religiously. Also, check out the Galveston diet. It’s run by Mary Claire Haver. It’s a keto program and once you get the sugar out of your system, I found it very easy to use and it’s very effective. You will begin losing weight immediately. I’m wishing all the best for you!
