What am I doing?

About to start day 1 tomorrow.  Any advice?  Trying to read as much as possible but confused by the macrosomethingoranother and the ketothisandthats.  I’ve been going over ideas on Pinterest and over the internet.  Advice?  Ideas?  Lead me people...guide me....I know this lifestyle is what I should have been following all along but years of diet philosophies have clogged my brain.

  • Well day one and don’t feel super starving but I bought the Keto strips and I’m not in Keto at all.  Maybe cause I ate every carb I could find yesterday.

afreshbeginning13 it takes 3 to 4 days for you to start burning fat. It takes that long to get rid of the sugar in your body.

my advice, commit. this way of eating works, if you commit.  you will get results that will surprise u!! dont cheat at least not yet, you need to get thru the initial bootcamp phase, first week sugar craving, push thru  dont cheat , on the other side....... success finally!!!!

Welcome, I know what you mean about information overload but as you progress you will start to filter what you need to apply much more easily.

Here is a great place to get started. I am coming up 7 weeks no cheats (20lbs so far) and once you move from burning carbs & sugar as a fuel then onto fats, you go into Keto then after a little while longer you become fat adapted. Once the latter is reached you will no longer get uncontrollably hungry and for me the cravings have all but been eradicated ~ as a carb & sugar highly susceptible person, I know I cannot escape addiction my only weapon is absenance. I will deal with the rest of my life one day at a time.

i am going to start a thread listing everyone’s favourite self education finds, please add to it.
