Hi, I'm 58 .  I'm in my 9th week and have lost 13 lbs, in which I'm thrilled.  I'm looking to drop at least another 15lbs.  I love the Carb Master app it really keeps me accountable, I can input things and see if it's too many carbs even before I eat them.  I do fluctuate between not eating enough carbs and eating too many but by the end of the week I'm where I need to be roughly.  I also keep track of my glucose and keytones and calculate my GKI and I'm usually in deep ketosis.  The only time I'm not it's because of celebrations.  I believe in celebrating then fasting.  Are you doing clean Keto or dirty Keto??

I am 60 and have been treated for type 2 diebetes for about 12 years. I stopped eating carbs last August. I lost almost 30 lbs and am off Metformin. It is a difficult regimen, especially at restaurants but very much worth it

you need to go Keto all the way. Sugar spikes from carbs are very bad for people

Slim  That is so true.  I am not a diabetic and when I indulge in a celebration my glucose levels can rise to 110 and lower within a few hours.  I'm doing Keto to drop 30 lbs, I'm already 1/2 way there.  I believe in eating whole foods,  exercising regularly, praying and meditation as a daily practice, I also believe that I can celebrate with sugar one day and go back to my regular practices of whole eating, low carbs and exercise, it's a balance.  The moment I take that liberty away from myself I have made my life to ridge, what I'm looking for is balance.

We all have different goals and different struggles.  Doing sugar and carbs one day and going back to my normal habits is not a struggle for me, but I understand that it could be a stumbling blocks for others.
