I’ve actually read differently. I have 1 cup of coffee with 1/2tbps of full fat cream. As long as it’s under 50 calories, it’s not supposed to affect your ketosis (also, I tested before and after coffee for a week and I never went out of ketosis).

That's a bit of a loaded question. What would your definition of a fasting state be?

If it means that you are not metabolizing any ingested food then having the coffee with cream does break your fast. From a purely technical aspect just about anything aside from distilled water would break your fasting.

If you mean will it take you out of ketosis, unless you were only barely in a state of ketosis then maybe, but most likely not, at least not for long.

In order for the body to process carbs it needs to produce insulin, in the presence of insulin the production and metabolism of ketones stops. Once the insulin dissipates ketones can once again be utilized and synthesized.
