I'm thinking my body doesn't do keto

Hi! I'm new and have been very good counting my macros and the freaking scale won't budge.  I'm thinking my 51 year old body just won't do this!  I'm about 20 lbs of fluff over my normal weight in my 30's, which I think is a reasonable goal.  I'm getting frustrated and missing my bread!  It would be nice to have my pants get looser.  Any insight??

How long have you been doing keto and have you had any weight loss so far?

About 6 weeks.  I didn't weigh myself initially because my clothes where so tight.  I got on the scale a month ago and not a pound since.

emme k. what does a typical day of eating look like? Are you staying under your carb limit and getting more fats than protein? You may need to adjust your macro goal. Have you tested to see if you're in ketosis?

Make sure that when you're cooking you're checking certain packaged items for any sugars you may not be aware of. I went to make portobello mushroom pizzas the other night and didn't realize how much sugar can be in pizza sauce and I had to hunt at the store for one that was low.

dshean87 , typical is bulletproof coffee for breakfast, 3 oz mixed greens with 2 oz protein plus 1carb dressing for lunch.  Home made deviled eggs for snack or a cheese/meat roll up.  Choczero chocolate for a snack ( I survived a day, there is my reward).  Dinner is usually salmon with a side salad or a cup of broccoli.  I'm giving it another month.  I end up at my carb (14 net) and my fat and protein pretty on target.  I'm suppose to have 1100 calories but usually end up at 1600, which SHOULD result in some weight loss.  I was horrible over the holidays, and am bummed the weight is not budging.

I'm not sure what your individual stats are as that could affect calorie goal. Mine is 1278 and I have consistently stayed at or under while meeting my macro goals. I lost 9.5 lbs this first week but everyone is different.  SW was 176 and I'm 5'1, 31 yrs old for reference. I do think it's important to stay in that calorie deficit to see the lbs drop. I have also been doing some days of intermittent fasting where I eat dinner at 6:30-7 and I do not eat again until around 11 am for lunch. My coffee with heavy whipping cream and MCT tend to keep me full in between. I haven't done any kind of cheating so far.
