when carbs are more than fat

This is my second day on the Keto diet. Quick question. If my Net carbs are more than my Fat count but both are still under my daily limit won't I be burning carbs and NOT Fat since my Net Carbs are higher?

mm.

Agree.  I don’t see how that would be possible in a low-carb diet.

I wonder if your carbs haven’t become skewed?   You can go to ‘Settings’ (column to the left of the page) select ‘Macros’ (third across the top of the page) and then scroll down to where you see, ‘Next, let’s calculate your macronutrient goals’.  From the drop down menu you can select ‘5:25:70 (Keto)’ and that will give you the standard (basic) keto percentages.    I think that might get you on track.

Once you get a hang of things and see how your body reacts to keto, you can - if you chose to - go back to the selector and pick ‘custom percent’ and individualize the program to your needs.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Just re-read your post, and perhaps I didn’t understand what you were saying.

Yes, if your macro ‘goals’ are good but your actual intake has your fat intake being more than your carb intake, that might be a concern.  It may/may not keep you from ketosis, but it most likely will slow things down considerably.

there are lots of good fats you can use to increase intake: avocados, butter, avocado oil, olive oil, coconut oil, salmon, mayonnaise, etc.

    Hope this helps.
