At 57, I started keto on 5/10/19 and am excited at my progress. I have a long way to go for my GW of 160 but I find keto very easy to do. My energy level is great. I am having a total thyroidectomy surgery on Thursday and am not happy that my surgeon said I need to eat carbs before surgery. I know it’s short term but I am afraid of losing the momentum I have right now. Anyone experienced this surgery and have any tips for me?

You need to do as the Surgeon says; you can always revert and no doubt post-op you will probably shed some weight. If you have access to Pinterest there are some great pre-op ideas to follow. I had major back surgery and lost 30lbs only to gain it back after 2 years hence am on Keto now. Best of luck with your surgery!
