Help!!!!

I usually can't hit my fat Intake so do I just need to make sure my fat intake is higher than my protein intake and still keep my carbs under 20.. I had gastric sleeve surgery so my food intake is very small.. I lost 100lbs with now I'm using keto to take the rest off and I'm just having a hard time meeting everything other than the carb part

  • cbise2099a5  if you are meeting net carbs, you are half way there :) For fat: avocado with greens and olive oil is my favorite. Tea with heavy whipping cream  can work. Scrumbled egg fried in a tbsp of butter - protein and fat. Not sure if this is what you are looking for but hope it'll help.

  • In my macros it says 16 net carbs and yesterday I only hit 10 net carbs.. I was 3g off my fat and 10 off my protein.. I'm assuming that's it to bad

I h ave the same problem. First be sure it's low fat and not too much protein. I bought some mct oil and pour a drizzle over just about anything I eat. After cooking my protein, I pour a little over the top, same with veges. Its tasteless. I measure out 1-2 Tbs in a little cup and use that so I can track it in my macros.  Avocados are also good and heavy whipping cream.

cbise2099a5 remember that's a maximum not a minimum so don't worry if you a little low on carbs. Its more important you keep the balance of high fat, medium protein and low carb.

  • I recommend keto coffee for a fat boost each day.  Blend 8 oz cup of coffee with 1 tbsp Kerrygold butter, 1 tbsp coconut oil, 2 oz heavy cream.  Provides about 45 g fat with no protein or carbs.  I use coldpress coconut oil.  Hopefully the 10 ounces isn't to much for you.  Best wishes.

  • I find that when I get into a food rut, I have trouble hitting my macros. Try expanding the fats you are cooking with, and keeping in your kitchen. Oils are Key!!! Make sure you are getting high quality, and the right smoking point for whatever you are preparing. Check out this post: https://www.ketoresource.org/healthy-oils-keto-diet-ready/ I like to keep nuts (I prep them for the right quanitty) and fat bombs ready for days I am on the go. I also definitely agree with the Keto Coffee to get in those last grams!
