Newbie

After three weeks on Keto I have found that my type one diabetes is completely in control.  Amazing all of my nutrrion coaches said to eat double to almost triple the carbs which means I would be on massive amounts of insulin.  Now, and I am advocating this for anyone but me, I take my long acting insulin and maybe one or two units during the day and I am at 6.5% A1c!!   Coming from 14% I am thrilled.  Not losing weight but I’ll be honest I will take the reduction in insulin and live healthy over anything else.  I am not trying to be a beauty queen but rather living a new lifestyle as a Tyoe 1 diabetic that needs very little insulin.  So here I go. I am embarking on this as way of life to live longer.  Woohoo.

Hello there, I'm a newbie too.  First off, congratulations!   That's an achievement!  We do what we can as a beginner and do more from there.  I Have issues with lack of energy; I know this could stem from many contributing factors such as lack of regulated or good quality sleep but I thought I would start cleaning up my diet.  I look forward to learn more things here:)  Thank you for sharing.
