Does anyone have some inspiring advice about Keto . I’m a week into it and trying really hard but I can’t seem to be getting anywhere.

Keto was intended to be a lifestyle change. A week into it you've barely dipped your toe in the water. Come on in, the water's fine!  I've been doing this for close to 9 months.  Sure, there are some restrictions that I'd like to not have to live under, but in general the food is great, I feel great, I love the terrible expense of throwing away everything in my closet every couple of months and having to buy all new clothing.  Be patient. It took you awhile to put on the weight and develop the habits that you're trying to get rid of. It's going to take you awhile to get rid of them. Keto is by far the most enjoyable way I have found of trying to make up for my past dietary mistakes.

I started 4/4 and have lost almost 25 pounds. There was so much information that I found it all overwhelming. I decided to learn one new Keto thing each day and having this website for guidance and exercise videos has been helpful.

I am doing (mostly) strict keto. I do not ever reach all of my fat macros but I now know to add fats if I am feeling hungry and I make sure to have fats at my last meal since I do IF 16:8. Supplements help and I started with them since day one. No keto flu. I do speed walking on the treadmill 5x/wk 60 minutes because I tend to eat better when I exercise.

Counting calories and portion measuring/control has gone a long way in my weight loss. I use cheese and butter as a condiment because I do not want cholesterol issues. I will grab a snack ONLY if I am hungry otherwise, I try to eat only meals. Alcohol only on special occasions.

I am 61yo F, hypothyroidism, no gall bladder. Starting weight 211. 5'6". Have never felt better in my life! I do not see myself returning to a carb-filled life. I weigh myself once a week.

Everyone is different. Figure out what works for you but stay with it.
