Meal Macros or Daily Macros?

Hi there.  2nd week in and I’m lovin’ it.... but maybe because I’m not doing it right?!? Please help.

 

Is the goal to hit the correct macro portions per meal, or per day?  Does it matter?  I feel satisfied with what I eat, and I keep my numbers where they should be as a total for the day, but my meals aren’t as balanced.  Will that effect my results?

  • The goals are for the day . I am in my 2nd week and a couple of days I hit a just right but some days I am over in protein or fat. But never over in carbs :)                                                                                                     If you saw my meals you would feel so much better.  :).

    Hi, I think you are doing fine. I focus on the daily percentages, not any particular meal or snack.  It should not matter as long as you try to balance daily macros.  Some days I meet Macros, some days a little under and occasionally a little over.  I try to meet goals, but don’t worry about small variations and  my weight loss is steady.

    As Debra said, the goals for all the carbmanager app are for the day...but for per meal...I try to use food that is 5grams or less of carbs...that gives my totals "wiggle room"
