Intermittent Fasting & Fat Adapted
Hello Keto Fam,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday evening!
I have been laser focused on IF (intermittent fasting) this week to help recover from a binge worthy weekend filled with questionable food choices, and I decided I'd love to hear others thoughts on the topic.
My low carb journey started in 2017, and I have to say, intermittent fasting seems to be as essential tool when it comes to plowing through my weight loss plateaus and stalls.
I was curious, how else has experimenting with IF worked (or not worked) for anyone who considers themselves more or less, fat adapted?
Just looking for a kind and open discussion on anyone's knowledge on the topic.

Ckrismoney , yes!!! This is EXACTLY how I feel! With the use of fasting, I have been able to maintain my weight. I feel that it has also been integral in helping me cleanse after eating a meal that is a treat.
I believe it is truly the key to staying fat adapted when you are maintaining post weight loss as well!
Thank you for sharing your experience!

I love IF. I was never a bfast person anyway so it fits my lifestyle very nicely. I am down 14 lbs and starting my 3rd week eating keto. I do feel IF helps with my body's ability to focus on using those fat cells for energy and cleansing..basically doing other stuff than digesting. I have been in ketosis (use a meter to test my blood) so that helps solidify the process for me. I am starting on a 60 hr fast tonight. Hope it goes well!
