New here!

Hello my name is Juli. Today is my first day on keto. I've done my fitness pal, weight watchers, South Beach, nutritionists, you name it. I've used ketogenesis strips before but never went into ketosis (after some reading I think I just gave up too soon). I gotta be honest, I'm not too excited to track my food right away. I know my way around a food scale, macros, etc. I tracked for years with MFP but since I'm starting off keto brand new, it's daunting enough to give up my sugar addiction (carbs for my husband who's doing keto now too), I'd rather not add tracking every bite to start off with. Am I totally off base here? I've never used Carb Manager.

    I don’t think you’re totally off base, especially if you’ve done it all before! But maybe change your perception of doing it. I wasn’t tracking bc I knew what to do but wasn’t doing it then it put things into perspective and instead of daunting I find it more interesting.  I’ll even put foods in for a whole day just to keep me on track! Maybe tracking will help keep you stay accountable for a longer Period if time.  It just use it as a tool! If you aren’t losing maybe track to see where you can change and if you are losing then don’t track just use the app to see what’s in what bc you can scan almost anything!!
