Question For The Group
Hello, all!
I’ve been on a Well Balanced Ketogenic Diet for 13 months now and have had phenomenal success - my A1C dropped from 7.7 to a sustained 5.0, blood glucose is averaging around 90, BP is down to normal and I no longer require any of the meds I used to take. Down 65 pounds too, but that’s just extra happiness compared to the rest of the health improvements.
My question to the group is this: for those of you who regularly practice intermittent fasting, do you fast yet maintain a full day’s nutritional ‘allowance’ of nutrition during the period that you eat? Or if you skip a meal you don’t make up the nutrition (EXAMPLE: if you say, cut out one meal, do you not make it up and consume only two meal’s worth of nutrition that day?) I hope that makes sense: eat three meals in a shorter period or eat two (or perhaps something entirely different.)
I’m not expecting any particular answer, just curious as to what others are doing, and certainly don’t think there’s any ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answer.
As for me, I’ve typically skip breakfast and I’ve tried both ways (two meals lunch and dinner at ‘2/3 nutrition allowance’ and sometimes two meals yet consume full nutrition allowance).
thanks, and I’m looking forward to what you have to say.
