Meal Plan "Meals" Duplicates in Error

When  a meal plan has been implemented and you click on a "meal" to confirm it adds all the individual items but also leaves the meal in the disabled state.  To me, once the items of "meal" are added the meal should be removed.  It makes it appear that we should add again in error.
