Michael Banks what I really like about the Keto-Mojo tester is that it can test both blood glucose AND ketones. You might read some reviews complaining about the price of the ketone test strips (just under $1 per strip) but my readings tell me that a few years ago they used to be up in the $3-plus range per strip. I believe as they become more main stream, the price will come down (I hope I hope). And on the KM website, you might read about the GKI (Glucose-Ketone Index) which takes in to account both blood glucose and ketones and (I read) is considered a much more accurate depiction of what’s going on. Hope this helps and good luck!

I found them odd and quit using them in favor of a blood monitor. It seemed to me that the readings would fluctuate (even within one day) based on how much urine was in my bladder. The fuller the bladder, the lower the ketone reading, as if all that urine diluted the ketones. If I had maybe 200cc in the bladder, it would show I was in reasonably deep ketosis.
