Day 1

First day on Keto. I clearly need to wrap my head around my foods and maybe bring my own food when I go out. I’m 124% short for my fats and need a whole lot more protein for the day. Was also sabotaged at my parents and ate a slice of pizza causing me to be over 200% of my carbs. Crossing fingers day 2 goes better!

    If your going to go keto you are going to have to give up all grains and starchy foods. No more bread, pasta, cereals, potatoes, corn, etc. Nothing starchy, no sugars, limited fruit, a few berries at most.

    But in place of that butter, oils, avocados, eggs, meat with the fat. Don't over do the bacon, or the cured meats. Those aren't the best for other reasons, like nitrates.

    Welcome Rosie 🍍.  Try entering your food in app before eating so you can see effect on your Macros.  That way you can adjust portions or change food if needed.  Focus on your calories and carbs while you learn to balance the rest.  It gets much easier and the results are well worth the effort.

    Slimfast has keto shakes, meal bars and snacks which make it simple to balance out Macros.  Today is my first day too!

    Be cautious of prefab keto Foods. These companies are not really your friends. Watch 4 undesirable ingredients most particularly maltitol and malto dextrin.
