Light cream vs heavy cream

I was creating a recipe last night that I had hoped would satisfy my craving for soup. So I made a roasted cauliflower soup with some chicken stock, roasted cauliflower, cheese, celery, thyme, and fresh spinach. I wanted to add cream and I went to the store and bought light cream.  When entering the ingredients into the carb manager food search I was upset to discover that light cream is listed as having 7 g of carbs per cup, yet one type of heavy cream is listed as having zero carbs per cup, while another is listed as having 16 g carbs per cup.
I just can't figure out how to calculate and what could possibly be the disparity.

You'll just have to figure out what size of a serving you will make and then figure out how many servings you have.  Divide the serving by the total of macros and that should give you your totals.  It's a pain, but it should work.

The disparity is that many times, light/reduced calorie stuff add other things which can up the carb count.  I'm a firm believer air has carbs in it (jk but you get my point).
