Couldn't zip up my wedding dress

Talk about a wake up call! I thought I'd ordered my dress BIGGER than I was, but apparently not 馃槄

Every time I'd done Keto or low carb in the past, I was too hard on myself. I wouldn't allow any deviation from the plan and it cost me in binges and re-gaining. I learned that I can't be so strict! My goal is to eat keto MOST OF THE TIME, as in during the week for breakfast lunch dinner and snacks, but if I've invited out to dinner on the weekend or have an event to go to I won't stress about what to eat. I'll attempt to make good choices and stick to keto but if I can't or don't want to, I won't.

This is just my goals, not anyone else's so I understand if YOU have to be strict to succeed, I totally get it. But I can't do that; it triggers emotional eating and binges for me.

I'm getting married October 12th and my only goal is to be able to ZIP UP THE DRESS because I CAN NOT afford to get a different dress!

  • Sounds like you have a plan that works for you. Knowing your triggers and planning for them are important. Good for you!!

badtruck Could an alternative be to put a lace panel or something back there? I borrowed a wedding dress and I couldn鈥檛 zip it up but I wanted to borrow it as we didn鈥檛 have a lot of money. The seamstress put in a Lacey panel and it worked, looked awesome.

badtruck Also, be careful doing keto most of the time, as I gained weight with that method. I think with your mind set, try to see if dress can be taylored like I said and just eat lower carb and not keto.
