Hypocalcemia (low calcium)

Hi everyone! I've only been doing the keto diet for only a few days, and today while working out my face got a little numb and tingly. It feels just like the sensation I get after donating platelets, which is caused by hypocalcemia. Has anyone else experienced this problem? And does anyone have any ideas for good calcium sources for the keto diet?

Broccoli. Calcium absorption from dairy products is about 30 percent, from spinach it’s about 5 percent, but broccoli is over 60 percent! Hope you like broccoli!

  • I am facing the same issue now. Did the Broccoli help? Calcium citrate supplement seem to help so much but I am afraid of forming stones or hardening of arteries. Also when I drink electrolyte containing sodium, it seems to return the symptoms of hypocalcemia.
