I want to stop being a quitter.

Hello.  I’m Irene from Texas.  I’m 5’1” and 132 pounds and 43 year’s of age. Seems like the day I turned 40 life gave me a 10 pounds of weight  as a gift.  I’m also hypothyroid, so it’s harder for me to lose weight.  I just started Keto but my issues are cravings.  They always get the best of me.  Plus I end up getting bored eating the same stuff over and over again and I eventually fall off the wagon. I’ve never really had the discipline to stick to any type of diet or exercise routine...or much else for that matter.  Well, the exception would be my job, my husband and my addiction to Ulta. I won’t quit those.  Anyhow, I have zero will power.  I started keto three days ago and thought I was doing good until I learned the baked white fish I had from Luby’s today had a whopping 31 net carbs. Which caused me to go over my limit.   Seriously?  Baked fish with tartar sauce was that high in carbs?  I already feel like I messed up.   I just want to lose 15 pounds at  10:45 PM am feeling hungry and discouraged.  I don’t want to quit yet again, but it’s super hard for me.  Hoping to make some friends for support. My husband is not very helpful on this endeavor because he feels I do t need to lose weight, so feel the odds are against me.

Aww, don't quit ! It's only been 3 days you can do it tomorrow is a new day I have only been on this for about a month and I have lost 12 pounds and in that month I've probably went over 7  times, I also get discouraged but start the day again fresh and new you just got to keep trying at it and it will work it's pretty awesome when you start see the pounds come off just by lowering your carbs.

  • Thanks for the support.  I’m still hanging in there.  This weekend was so hard, but I made it through.   I haven’t weighed myself just yet, but feel a bit a little more room in the waistband. Thanks again for the encouragement.

Yes, I've learned to not waigh myself after the weekend if I don't do so well, because it brings me down.. I'm super glad you made it through 👍 it gets easier, I am surprised at how fast the waight comes off WITHOUT exercising ! Take it day by day & if you end up not doing so well one day, just get right back on the wagon the next day ! The keto life is the quickest way I've ever lost waight. KCKO

Keep calm & keto on !

  • I’ve been doing Keto since July and have had ups and downs but I have all my maternity weight off and have five lbs to go.  It seems that the longer I do this the interested in the food I’m becoming.  I screenshot recipes all the time and plan meals on Sunday which I’ve never put in that much effort but I love having the meals because I feel great.  It gets more routine just keep trying!
