Weight gain . Beef and butter fast?

Hey all.. i ve been doing keto for 4 months not to loose weight but maintain.

My weight remained the same. Except for this last week. I ve gained 2 kgrs without changing anything in my diet! And its not my period - difficult days of the month near

I tried restricting calories.. from 1400 went to 1000 and cut veggies..

Nothing. Scale still up and clothes still more tight than before.. thinking of trying a beef+butter fast..do u think that might help? Are results guaranteed?

Any advice would be highly appreciated!

  • Keep doing what you are doing.. 2kg is in normal fluctuations.  You can try intermittent fasting.  18 hours fasting, 6 hours eating you plan.  Don't reduce your calories s to much, your body can try to conserve..  BTW are you in ketosis?  You said not to lose weight and just maintain.  How long have you been on keto?

    I've been on keto for 3 months.  My weight loss started to slow so I thought I'd do the beef & butter fast.  Been on it 3 days and only down 1#.  I've done the egg fast before and had better results on that.

    Anita  I’ve watched Dr Berg’s YouTube and he said some fats (mainly oils) can spike your insulin too much. Go watch some of his vids on Keto. He has a lot of great information. Also watch Dr Fung. He is a specialist on insulin.

  • Beef is a good source of protein. They can also help you gain some weight without proper exercise. However, we tend to have different response to the foods that we take.
