Shopping list

Totally new.  Is there a grocery list that I can get to go buy the right foods to start? Help!

  • The shopping lists all seem to have tons of stuff you don't need.  My best advice is to shop the perimeter of the store. Leafy greens, meats, cheese eggs and butter. Heavy Cream if you like cream in your coffee.

    use the app to scan items to make sure they fall in line with the guide lines... search google for modified recipes of your favs... like tonight I make beef stroganoff with cauliflower mash instead of noodles... it was amazing. :) and was able to track it all using this app. Create recipes here and everything :) Good luck

    Dr Westman has a free list as does Go Keto with Casey on her website/YouTube: 

    All meats, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese ( check carb content) 2 tablespoons of double (heavy cream) per day(for maximum weightloss best to limit) green leafy veg, low carb veg, butter ie Kerrygold, olive, avocado and coconut oils etc. There is more ie some nuts and seeds but this is what I live on 😋 in the U.K. so we have great ground almonds (not almond flour) and flaxseeds to make my fix of the day, grilled cheese on toast 😂

     

    just leave carbs off your menu - it’s the absence of carbohydrates that keeps you in ketosis no need to buy ‘special’ things.  Read product labels carefully, I always count total carbs as it keeps me safe from serious errors (as well as some misleading product claims).  Eat only when hungry, eat until you feel satisfied (rather than full or stuffed 😜) listen to your body. 🌸🌷🌸

    Part of my shopping list if it helps have been stuff like beef,pork,chicken,bacon

    fish,salmon,shrimp,eggs,spinach,kale,cauliflower,avocado,croutons,Cheese,peanuts,cheese sticks,low-fat yogurt,ketobombs,100% dark chocolate,Keto bars and lots of water!!

    Eliminate starch so no bread, pasta,rice or potatoes and of course no junk foods and foods you think twice about if they’re bad for you. So far it’s 3 weeks for me and have lost 13 lbs.
