Anybody had Vsg or Bypass surgery and is currently doing low carb or Keto looking for a lil motivation and recipes?

    It's the perfect diet, just what you were advised following your initial recovery and back onto 'normal' eating.  How long ago was your surgery? As you may need to break meals down into smaller ones rather than thinking of dropping to 2 or even just 1 as you get fat adapted. Would love to support you as best I can I really admire people openly talking & taking action to help themselves. To put it politely, by-products can be upset a bit for the first couple of weeks it will settle although you may need to take something like organic psyllium husk for constipation. You're going to rock this 馃檶

  • I鈥檝e had GB and the sleeve. I have found ways around both and put on weight. This is really the only way for me to eat and lose. I find it helps with those nasty cravings, and I tend to get fuller faster.

    susanintheuk I think with gallbladder removal- you can introduce fats slowly by work your way up  to keto level if desired- is this correct?

    susanintheuk absolutely the Surgery only limits intake at one meal, if you graze you gain & they don't address the key issues of addiction to sugar including all artificial & carbohydrates so don't beat yourself up. You're educating yourself here, you have an advantage with the surgery ~ believe it or not, as you are already attuned to listening to your body, you just have to remind yourself how to do it. Be determined to make a better way of life for yourself you have the 'tools' ~ now you're going to learn how to use them.  Can't wait to hear how you're getting on.
