Most accurate sources of nutritional info
When I am adding a food to my daily log, such as sugar snaps today there are several options with different net carbs even when I adjust the weight. I also used google to see which results were consistent and there are some conflicting numbers. What resources are the most accurate? I have no problem manually inputting the numbers if necessary but would rather err on the side of caution. Does anyone have any definitive sources? (sugar snaps just as an example, for other foods as well)

Sounds like your doing whats necessary to keep macros in check. Yes, i find alot of macro errors on foods, my fitness pal has helped somewhat but that app/website varies from google, which varies from carb manager. Its very frustrating. Use your best judgement after researching the erroneous foods. Thats the best advice i have for ya.. sorry.

Thanks for your help! I haven't tried the barcode yet but will do today does it work even if no nutrition info on packaging? I must be making errors somewhere as have come out of ketosis for 5 days straight now despite carbs being down apart from 1 day over by 10g and doing plenty of exercise each day plus an hour each day with personal trainer. Also sticking to calorie requirement just a shade over 1000 kcal.

linrenep Not long, just less than 2 weeks. I had ketones straight away, so was quite disappointed when i couldn't measure them anymore. In general the exercise isn't new but there have been days where I have really pushed myself. I just thought if my intake is 1000 cals, I'm keeping net carbs to <20 (have now dropped to <15 to see if any difference) and on several days energy expenditure well over 1000 cals that I should definitely be in ketosis. Do you have any experience of adding intermittent fasting to keto diet?

AMac25 Interesting! I do love those though but I know I avoid any peas like they are poison. I really miss my split pea soup also. I would take the average and use that as a guide. I think not every snap pea is the same also just like apparently not every avacado has the same macros I just found out on here.

AMac25 yes, I practice intermitant fasting at least 2-3 days a week. I was doing it for 5 days a week and then eating breakfast with family on weekends but schedules changed and now I do just when not hungry...not too scientific. I've been doing keto near 8 months now and lost 65+ lbs. I like IM once you aren't hungry as happens once fat adapted, even as soon as in ketosis. I just watched an interesting video yesterday on how and why it's good for you and will probably get back to it full time this week. Anyway, its a personal choice but the science is behind it, its good for you.

linrenep In a way I have already been doing it, waiting till i am hungry to eat, usually at night. But I am just wondering what is better, spreading out net carbs throughout the day or having 1 meal a day which could have 10-15 of net carbohydrate? Is that enough to massively spike insulin levels? Is it better to do earlier in the day while I am still active?
