Sick of eggs!

Hi! I need breakfast ideas. I hate eggs. I can only eat a them if you smother them in so much stuff that I can’t taste them. Since trying out keto, I’ve had omelets and scrambled eggs with cheese almost every day. If I see another egg, I’ll scream! Lol I need a few ideas. I don’t eat pork or read meat, so bacon is out. I’ve made myself start eating turkey bacon again, even though I don’t like that either. Too salty. I’ve made salmon or tuna cakes with no breadcrumbs. That’s ok, but I’m dying for variety. What do you guys do?

    MJsChick1ste90b I actually tire of eggs and eat anything keto for breakfast. It really doesn’t matter what you eat for breakfast as long as it’s keto friendly. I know that’s a vague answer but your limiting yourself without eating pork or red meats on keto. I sometimes eat cold meat for breakfast like a burger or chop, ribs etc. It helps break up the monotony of eating eggs. Or I’ll eat egg salad with diced pickles etc. Sometimes I eat a handful of macadamia nuts, string cheese and a cream coffee. That’s easy, fast and filling.

  • badmojomn Thanks for the response. I know I’m limiting myself somewhat. I research keto friendly foods on what seems to be a daily basis, and most of what I see involved some sort of pork. Either bacon or rinds or something! But I haven’t eaten red meat or pork in over a decade. I stopped because I simply don’t like them and prefer poultry and seafood. I’ll try to expand my idea of breakfast and see if that helps.

  • Have you tried chia pudding? I also eat cream cheese pancakes. I hate eggs but the pancakes are okay for me.

    Recently I discovered a quick and easy Keto English Muffin that does consist of one egg, but I smother it in butter and it's amazing! You could also do a bit of sugar free jam if you have any.

    What’s your secret with eating oatmeal ? I love oatmeal but it’s loaded with carbs!

  • sherrilsheton I have 1/2 cup of Oatmeal, 1 cup of Almond Milk, 1 oz or 1 tbsp of Slivered Almonds and 1 Poached Egg. Poached Egg & Almonds on top of Oatmeal....this Total 12 Net carbs.

  • My Mum can’t eat eggs. Says they taste like bile 😂. So I hear ya! Dietdoctor.com has heaps of recipes and all free. They do have lots of eggy recipes but there’s also things without eggs.

  • This is a great start to the day. Freezes well and is yummy slathered in butter or coconut oil. Hope this helps.

    I start the day with either Greek yoghourt with a couple of tbsps of flaxseeds and eight almonds chopped up and a bit of stevia, or the same thing with Alpro plain soya yoghourt instead of the Greek yoghourt. The Alpro uses up fewer carbs. I’ve been doing that for fifteen weeks now and I’m losing steadily.

  •  Was there 3 days ago, got sick of eggs.  I’ve been  asking guacamole with turkey bacon chips for the last 2 days.  Delicious.  The turkey bacon from Costco is thick and when pan fried, it cuts into chips size pieces nicely.  This is very filling.  I also found a recipe for Keto Blueberry Muffins, great recipe made with almond flour, almond milk, eggs and coconut oil.  I put some pecans in the batter too.  The recipe makes 12 regular size cupcakes but I made the mini size cupcakes b/c I visually like to put 2 muffins on my plate, weird.  I also made egg salad and roll it up in the little Crepini crepes I bought at Costco.  Good luck.

    I eat lox / smoked salmon spread with whipped cream cheese and chopped capers rolled up.  Fast and super filling.
