Copying meals throughout the week

A couple ideas:

1) It would be great when copying a meal to a different day if you could just click on multiple days and have it copy to those days, replacing whatever instance of that meal (e.g. lunch) is already on those days (see the first image).  Selection of each day would just toggle each time it's touched/clicked.

2) If there were a "copy" button at the top right corner of the daily planner (or another three-dot menu button that had this function and others) that would facilitate copying all contents of a given day plan to one or more other days, including suppelements, exercise, etc., it'd REALLY make life easier for those of us who want to plot out an entire week at a time.  For copying those days, see idea 1 as well.

See attached images...

Thanks!  Great app!

  • Also, just want to let you know I'm impressed by (and grateful for) the cross-platform app.  I'm so much more productive with data entry and meal planning on the PC, but having the iOS app is clearly essential as well.

  • Hey Rodney, thanks for the great feedback! We'll definitely give these some thought. In the meantime, please check out the new meal plans feature (Foods > My Foods > Meal Plans). It may help you more efficiently log foods by allowing you to chart out a weekly meal plan ahead of time and then "apply" it each week.

  • Yes we need a "quick" add from previous day meals or ahead one day - lots of folks eat the same meals everyday so would be beneficial to easily insert "previous meals" like Lose It does :)

  • Absolutely need to be able to copy and paste (if no other way)  multiple items to multiple days.  Now I have to go item by item and copy to the next day. It takes forever .

  • Every day my breakfast is "bulletproof" coffee. I'd appreciate the ability to indicate this item should automatically appear each day.  Thanks.

  • Hi everyone,  I found out how to copy everything to another day! When looking at your day (my day), go to the yellow box where it says “breakfast”, “lunch” or “dinner” and go all the way to the right where you will see three vertical dots.   When you click on those three dots it will bring up a whole drop down list of options.  Scroll down to “copy to”  and tap that, and then just tap which ever day you want to copy it to on the calendar that appears.  Voila!!

  • We know we can copy to single days.

If you read the first post, what is meant is to copy to MULTIPLE days at a time.

  • Brenda The link you provided solved the request (2)!  I'm surprised that the CM moderator did not point this out when this thread was originally posted.  Thank you.

This thread can be completed when we can copy a daily plan to multiple days ahead.  Carb Manager - would you please update on this feature request?  Thank you.

  • Brenda I don’t see any copy button on the app.   Can this only be done on a PC?  Thank you.

  • GR4CE  thank you so much!  I might be doing something wrong but it is not showing me a way to copy to multiple days at a time.  It’s only letting me tap one day on the calendar at a time.

  • Rona Klein the copy function works only for one day at a time.

Multiple days selection is what we want 😊

  • GR4CE  I got so excited because I thought you found something. Lol.  I’ve been copying my lunch daily the same way but was hoping to find a way to paste it to multiple days .  I don’t think the app developer ever looks at these comments  because I can’t imagine it would be that difficult . Thank you though. 👍🏻

  • Rona Klein I think the link posted created confusion because the article mentions copying to multiple days but that's not correct, it only does single days 😓

Carb Manager please implement MULTIPLE days! 😊

  • GR4CE Carb Manager are you working on the option to add a food automatically daily? For example, I have coffee every day.

  • I noticed when copying food the current time is not carried over.
