Connecting Fitness Devices
Premium users can sync directly with Fitbit or Garmin devices or with any device that is capable of pushing data to Google Fit or Apple Health.
Fitbit & Garmin
To connect a Fitbit device, please login to the website ( www.carbmanager.com ) and go to Settings > Connect with Fitbit. To connect a Garmin device, please login to the website and go to Settings > Connect with Garmin.
Carb Manager pulls activity minutes, calories burned, steps, weight, and sleep from both Fitbit and Garmin.
Apple Health & Google Fit
Connecting with the Apple Health app or Google Fit allows you to pull data from any device that can push data to these apps, including Apple Watch.
To connect with Apple Health, please open the app on your iPhone and go to Settings > Connect with Health app. Select all fields that you wish to sync. To connect with Google Fit, please open the app on your Android device and go to Settings > Connect with Google Fit.
Carb Manager pulls activity minutes, calories burned, steps, weight, and blood glucose from Apple Health, and activity minutes, calories burned, and steps from Google Fit. Carb Manager also pushes nutrition data to Apple Health.
Refer to instructions for your fitness device to determine how to enable syncing with Apple Health or Google Fit. Once your device is pushing calories burned (active energy), minutes exercised, and steps to Google Fit or Apple Health, Carb Manager will start importing those data.
3rd Party Apps
If your device does not sync with Google Fit or Apple Health directly, you may be able to use a third party syncing app to get your data integrated, which can then be read by Carb Manager.
