So a friend of mine, introduced this to me. She explained that she treats her coffee like tea. She uses honey and lemon in black coffee and that's how she drinks it. Initially, I thought this was definitely something that would make me gag. However, I modified it (since honey is deemed high in carbs and replaced it with organic liquid stevia). I have this during my morning, it gives energy, and keeps me satisfied (particularly if I'm fasting as well).
12 oz of brewed black coffee
1 - 2 Tbsp. of MCT oil (I usually do two, I guess you could try butter -- I haven't done this yet).
1 Tbsp of lemon juice (or adjust to your own taste)
1 tsp. of organic liquid stevia (again you can substitute the amount and your choice of sweetener i.e., monk fruit, etc.) and adjust to your taste
The way that I make it 1 serving (according to Carb Manager) is equivalent to:
0 net carbs
2 g total carbs
2 g fiber
28g of fat
0 g protein
