Keto diet to keep or slightly gain weight (lose fat and gain lean mass) for a guy with Irritable bowel (Diarrhea type)

Hi I have Irritable bowel (Diarrhea type), and I go to the bathroom 2-3 times per day, usually in the morning, usually softer facies, sometimes diarrhea. I feel a little fatigued 24/7, but I still do everything I want. This since 20 years (in my late thirties now). I lways ate a lot of carbs, especially pasta, and I now think that could be what triggered my Irritable Bowel syndrome (IBS) when I was in my teens. I would like to start Keto, not sure it is a good thing for me. I am 175 pounds (79 kg) and 6'1" tall (185 cm).  Skinny, slightly muscular but with some belly, so ideally I would like to lose belly fat and gain muscles, and maybe get to 180  lbs with 5-10% body fat. So keep my weight or slightly increasing it, and replacing fat with muscles. I am very active, I work out ~4 times per week and I play a competitive sport (beach volleyball) 3 times per week, but in the past 10 year I always looked the same. Do you think I should go for it? Any suggestions? Is anyone on a situation like me.
