Get rid of new version it's horrible!

I am beyond unhappy with the new version. The look is horrible and features very hard to find.

Who on earth authorised this?

It's buggy, it's ugly and many features are hard to find now.

What on earth have you done to to paying members?

Who asked for this and why was it approved!

    I've yet to see someone who likes the new version. It's very frustrating you've done this to your paying customers.

    I agree 100%. It is a huge step backwards. Whoever commissioned/designed/approved this release should be fired.

  • I like the new version look and navigation. I find it much easier. Def some bugs that need to be worked out like the sync to phone app but I'm not pro "yet". I find navigating the phone app for food and community much more aggravating. Maybe because im new and have not gotten used to the app.

    I imagine 90-95% are disliking this “new and improved” update—I’m one of them. It may be new but certainly not improved! If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!

  • How on earth could they release an app without proper testing first? This is a major mess because we pay good money for a service and this is what we get. MAKE SURE IT WORKS BEFORE RELEASE!!! I'm sorry, but this is idiotic.

    i have no idea if my version is old or new.  All I know is that when i check in my page is blank no matter how much data I put in.  I have to go back to yesterday, and then back to today to get anything to show up.  I have seen multiple requests to post the same thing to multiple days.  I have the same coffee and supplements every day, and everyday I have to post them.  Did the new version fix that?     Everytime I post the same "meal" the number of carbs and calories in it grows.  What's up with that?   I am getting frustrated too.

    Totally agree new version is not user friendly in a good way.  AND it’s not just because it’s different and takes getting used to!   It’s just less inclusive of ways to track foods especially the size amount and it seems to favor different recipes instead of the favorites.  Please give us paying members the option at least to use old version. Please

    dkmich I don't know which version I have either but i usually have to go to yesterday and back again to today to reload the info I know I put in....irritating when I'm in a hurry.

    dkmich Yes I confirm that the "page is blank unless you click to yesterday then back to today" has always been that way for me too. It's a pain in the butt.

    I hate it tbh. I cant find my foods that I created anywhere. When I log onto the desktop version, nothing has been updated since Jan 4th. What is the deal???

  • Getting on bandwagon. New version is awful.  Nothing migrated to new version well. Very confusing navigation. Very unfortunate.

    Why ruin a great app with this so-called “upgrade”?  My husband & I have used this app for two years and never felt it lacked anything so why the changes?  My phone & iPad have thankfully not updated to the new version yet but my husband’s new phone has.  His foods are there but his weight & meal history are not.  Why?  Such a disappointment.  I’ve been a premium member but will not resubscribe.

    I agree.  It is horrible.  Everything I do is harder.  How can you have a weight loss app that no longer tracks weight. 

    The old app showed the most recent foods I had used in the order I had used them.  This allowed me to quickly add foods that I use regularly, especially my supplements and coffee recipe.  Now I can't find any of my stuff. 

    The list of my personally input stuff isn't nicely organized with separated letters, so it is harder to scroll down and find things.  I even had one thing that didn't seem to be there anymore (at least not in order), but I eventually found a way to search and find it.

    I HATE, HATE, HATE the new app.  Please bring the old one back.

    Why change what was working?? This format isn't user friendly at all. Atleast put out a beta version first. The entry for food measurements is ridiculous. Everything takes longer to find. Please change it back.

  • I think the new version is horrible.  It works on my phone but won't even load on my tablet.  It's impossible to find things and hard to navigate.  On my PC its asks to sync with the mobile device for the updated app.  I'm not gonna do it for fear the PC will change too.  I probably won't renew it when my membership (for the 3rd year) is up.  Gonna get busy copying recipes and finding a new place to record stats, etc.  Not happy a bit.

    How are you actually gathering feedback? Why not have a dedicated section? You need a proper bug and feature tracking section, so we can vote on features and provide feedback.

    scott I have never seen a single reply from CM staff to a user comment. I therefore assume they are not taking any notice of feedback here and will plough on thinking they know best. I will be cancelling AND asking for a refund for current year unless they acknowledge pretty soon that users are not happy with the "upgraded" apps and are going to do something about it.

    Damn! My tablet auto-updated the Android app last night and I see that this is JUST AS BAD as the new desktop app (which I have so far managed to decline). I have managed to turn off the Play Store auto-update on my phone before it bulldozed over the old version. Which now means I have to manually update all my phone apps! Thank you Carb Manager.   Please implement a solution to this farcical "upgrade" without delay. Please listen to the feedback and allow those users who want to keep the old versions to do so. Or I suggest they will walk - like me.

  • I sought out this forum just to express how much I hate the new version.  My Foods don't show up consistently and the interface is terrible. I watched the update video, kept an open mind,  but it's ugly, not well formatted for my small iPhone and harder to use. Hate it.

  • I hate v7. I love v6. I lost 75 pounds with v6. I’ve already gained 4 pounds with v7. Please bring v6 back. I used the free v6 starting in March 2020. I upgraded my v6 in May 2020. I had at least five or six friends get carb manager based on my recommendations. 

    If we don’t go back to v6, I will not be renewing in May 2020. 

    I’m going to need to find a new app.

    Remember new Coke? Fortunately Coca-Cola realized their mistake and went back to Coke classic. Please make carbmanager V6 be carbmanager classic and bring everything back as it was. It was a wonderful, wonderful program.

     This version seven is like the new Coke and it will sink you if you don’t bring back v6.
