IF question, length of meal?

Let's say one is on a 12-6 intermittent fasting regimen (aka 18/6, 18 fasting 6 eating).  And furthermore, the meals are stand alone, and no snacking in between.  So my question is:  low long can your meal be?  Can you have a grazing meal between 12:00 and 1:00 PM, and then a grazing meal between 5:00 PM and 6;00 PM, or should there be a time limit for the actual meals?  Assume same number of carbs for either option...

I'm actually hoping people say something about this because I am a VERRRRY slow eater - always have been. I would say that if it takes you an hour to finish your meal - it's no biggie. Just stop after that and don't eat again until your next meal. You just don't want your grazing to go on all day because everytime you eat - your body will produce insulin (at least that is my understanding)

  • It doesn't matter how often you eat as long as you only eat within your 6 hour window. You could eat 2 meals or break it down into 4 meals or whatever. Just don't eat anything outside of your six hour window.
