Confused and unsure
Hi, I am almost two weeks in to my keto diet and I lost about 5 lb of water in the first two days and then nothing. I am tracking every thing I put in my mouth and staying around 1300-1400 calories. I exercise 5 days a week. (I am 5'10"). I want to lose 50 lbs total and I chose keto because it was supposedly fast weight loss. Well, since then, I have seen a lot of people say they are struggling to lose weight and doing all kinds of fasting, super low calories, etc. I guess I am wondering why keto is so popular if you have to do so many crazy things to lose weight? I miss the foods I have eaten in the past and have lost weight on weight watchers so if one has to do crazy fasting and eating only certain foods (beef and butter for 5 days?!?!?!?) or one meal a day, what is the advantage here? I honestly thought keto was just keeping track of carbs so you could stay in ketosis. I have been measuring mulitple times a day and am usually in the small to moderate range on the urine strips and have been for most of my two weeks. Any advice would be soooooooooooo appreciated!
