Starting Keto diet again... but this time for real!

Hi all I'm Agatha, I've been trying Keto more than 15 times since January 2019, lost weight at the beginning, but then gained it back every time: every stressful situation at work triggered cravings and need for carbs... now I managed my stress, and signing up to this forum and sharing with you my progress will help me tremendously reach back my pre-pregnancy weight before Christmas! I'm starting tomorrow, Nov 6 :) I can do it, and it's thanks to you and your motivating posts! Thank you & stay tuned. Agatha.

  • Emotional eating can happen regardless of your way of eating.  Finding another outlet  for your stress such as exercise, journaling,  relaxation techniques.  If you will stay with keto and get fully adapted and stay there several weeks you’ll find yourself not craving carby  sweet foods.   Good luck!

It's to reprogramm your brain in eating healthy food (up to you to decide what's your "healthy" food :) Because when you have cravings, it's your brain that's guilty. and for 14 days I had no cravings - as you say.

Unfortunately, yesterday, after 14 days - my record - I ate way too much carbs (fruit jogurts, bread...) so I decided to do this hypnotherapy everyday day. Hope it will help!

And yes, journaling, why not.. as I already exercise a lot.

  • darjak541 wow we are in the same situation! Well, I made it for 2 weeks and then yesterday, carbs & carbs... But 2 weeks is my longest time, now I need 6 weeks without stopping. So I bought the Ketostix: i think this will motivate me  - did you use Ketostix? Let's support each other and write about our progress!

  • I keep starting over too.  I was up 7 pounds.  Back on 2 days and down 5 lbs.  Just need to stay on track and focus on my goal.  Only I can push myself to succeed or fail.  This is hard.  Never realized how much food controls me. I was on keto for 6 months and lost 89 lbs.  Than as soon as I saw major progress I slacked.......and bam regained about 28 lbs.  I know this works.  I just have to have will power.

  • debbietyler61 Thanks for sharing Debbie, and first congrats for having been on Keto for 6 months! It's amazing! And it proves us that Keto works! If you don't want to leave the track, it's your brain that you have to "educate" or, better "reprogramm" as they say in the neurologists circles, to eat healthy food. I'll look for a link and share it on the forum. and this, you need to listen to every day. and you'll make it!!!
