Trying to have faith

Hi everyone...I am new to keto and have been trying to get my head around this whole idea for about a month. I don’t have a “weight” goal as much as I have the clothes fitting, feeling confident, energy level improving goal. 

I come from a fat free is God background and am just basically having blind faith at this point in keto as obviously my plan has failed. 

My biggest issue is the carb setting. I did the auto setup here and it has me at 29 grams of carbs. I have read it should be around 30ish max and am wondering if I have messed up the setup. I am maintaining my weight at this point which to be honest is a little disheartening although as I said above it isn’t my primary motivator, it would still be nice to see the number go down.

Any CM guru that can give me some advice would be appreciated greatly! I have the desire for this I just need the helping hand.

  • Welcome!  Don't get frustrated,  keto works.  Each person is different and you may have to adjust the numbers a bit until you can determine how many carbs a day you can eat to lose or maintain your weight. Dial back to 20-25 grams a day for a while and see what happens,  also make sure you have a good fat to protein ratio as well.  Hang in there and figure out what works for you and your goals.

    celticgladiator39d1 Thank you! I think I will..I have been looking on various sites and that seems to be the consensus. I know I have to be patient and just let things happen.
