Howdy

I’m in my 2nd week of the keto plan and I was just curious if it’s standard to get really hot after eating your first meal? Is it your body just revving up?

Im so excited about keto I think it’s gonna work out great for me, wish I knew about it sooner.

    Hi ditto on Keto 🙌

Burning fat is more efficient that sugar for your body sounds to me like your metabolism is getting right on with dealing with the food you are eating. Unless you like a lot of 🌶 chillies? What sort of foods make it worse?

I get get flushes. Less often now. I just figured it was my body screaming at me for fast sugar. I even had night sweats, nerve ending pains feet and hands/ arms. They have lessened month 7 now.

How are your ketones ? Curious. When I had spilled huge amount of ketones I felt the hottest, more uncomfortable  flushes. My highest ketone blood reading was roughly 2.1 in the beginning and turning the urine ketone strip almost black. That's when I knew my body was a fat burning furnace.

mishasolo mod is still good. But maybe your have some hidden carbs your consuming, i.e. Atkins, etc. increase fat a little and decrease protein a tad.  Mod on the pee stick is roughly .7 and make sure to check same time each day or so. Evening before dinner is a good time for me. To much artificial sugars and sugar alcohol can do this also, make the stick lighter. Week two - 6 is major ketone spillage and they really should be dark. Not everyone is the same but for me being 7 month in, it's my body now using the ketones full force so I don't spill as much.

mishasolo not meat sweats is it? Do you keep protein 3-6oz per meal? - your needs will be greater if you work out 🏋️

  • Same here. Two weeks  staying under 10 carbs per day and only moderate on the Keto strips. Calorie intake ranges from 1100-1300 total. Of course I’m 60 yrs old and mostly sedentary so I can’t really eat more calories and lose weight.

  • Hi There,

I'm also new here and just started the keto diet 2 weeks ago.  So far I haven't lost an ounce?  Is that normal? I have stuck right to the plan. The good thing is that I am no longer craving foods.  I don't think I am eating too many calories.  I just joined this site to learn how to count carbs and the percentage of fat in my diet.  I am not in Ketosis according to my urine strips.

I'm noy sure why I am not losing any weight or why I am not in Ketosis.  If anyone has any suggesTions from your own experience, I'd love to hear frm you.

    Diane

dianelewis74530d9 please post your weight height, age , what your percentages are on your macro wheel - how much carbs per day/protein/ fat, what your typical day of eating consists of. This intrigues me why your not in ketosis yet. Also, are you a dietetic?

dianelewis74530d9 Also, I should have added, how do you feel besides not craving any foods? How was your diet prior to following keto?
