Out of ketosis?

I’m getting frustrated. Tonight I checked my blood ketones and it was .4. This was right before dinner. Previously I’ve checked it in the morning and not usually at night. I gained weight last week and now I see that I’m not in ketosis. What am I doing wrong. I’m following my macros, counting everything that goes in my mouth. Any advice?

    Don’t panic, recheck in the morning.   Try intermittent fasting.  If u r sticking to it, you will loose.   Normal to plateau and loose inches not pounds.    Get the tape measure out 😀

    Gki more reliable.  Post your glucose and gki will show up also I had a problem with it reading something other than mmol and had to reset it multiple times in the settings. Oh and anything 9 and under for gki is good especially if insulin resistant 1 to 6 is optimal.

  • My wife had the same problem. Her protein was a little high, so she tweaked it down a bit and in a day or so her blood ketones went from .7 to 1.5. I believe the term describing what was happening is gluconeogenesis. Sorry if I misspelled that.
