Having trouble getting my Fats in.

I’m having trouble getting all my Fats in every day. I have trouble eating white creamy stuff or creamy stuff in general  so dressings and sauces are not going to help me. I’m doing great with protein and staying way under my carbs but the Fats are killing me. Help!!

Can’t say I have that problem!  However ....one of my favorite always on hand go to is from Costco.  It’s the individual frozen smoked salmon slices by Dom Reserve.  Comes in a box of ?12 I think?

    10g fat  16protein.

  • Do you drink coffee or tea? There is something called a fat bomb. In the morning, after I've brewed my tea, I add 1T MCT, 2T coconut milk, 2T heavy whipping cream, and 1 scoup of collagen powder (disolves immediately). I add some stevia, and some cinnamon and/or ground cloves. This satisfies and lasts me until lunch. A very comforting drink!

I have a selection of infused oils and l pour them over my salads and veg....who knew leaves could taste so good.    If u have an oil n vinegar store near you they have amazing stuff.  Most supermarkets stock them but make sure it's a good quality oil.

Adding MCT oil to my coffee has really helped me get in that extra fat on days where I'm lacking it in my food choices. Also avocado is a great way to add extra fat to any meal. I have been using avocado under seasoned ground beef with cheese and sour cream, almost like a little taco bowl. Or fried eggs on top of avocado with bacon slices for breakfast. I've also whipped up some scrambled eggs - mixed with heavy mixing cream and cooked them with some spinach and cheese too.

I add coconut oil, MCT oil, or butter to cooked meats and veggies on the plate.  Nuts, nut butters, avocados, cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, bacon, salmon and other fatty meats.  Fat Bombs are your friend.  You can make sweet or savory fat bombs and keep them in the freezer for when you need a boost.
