Getting back on track

So I started keto at the top of the year-started off strong and lost about 50lbs. And then summer cake and I wanted to eat a peach, or two, or cherries, or fresh corn smh. So I fell off. I started because I have a back injury and sugar causes inflammation. I can physically tell a difference in my body now that I’ve been back on the carbs. I have got to get back on track ASAP! Trying to remember that same motivation I had in January to get there again. Any tips or helpful words would be good.

I'm kinda in the same boat as you and what I'm trying is reminding myself how it progressively got easier after a week or so of trying the first time. If you have the means to have a week or so without temptations around you (like no birthdays or simply "cleaning" your fridge etc.), that could help.

Edit: obviously, the more, the merrier, one week is not enough, but important thing to keep in mind is that with every step in the right direction, it gets easier to do the next step.

What got me motivated was caring for my mom the last two years--seeing her limitations brought on by medical issues and poor choices was an eyeopener for me.  I saw myself headed down the same path--I didn't want that for my future--I want to enjoy many golden years.  If you are going to go "off-plan" then plan to go "off-plan" and have a plan to get back on--that is what works for me.
