Keto and effects on depression

So my story is that I put on some weight before Christmas as I was unemployed for nearly a year and had been suffering with depression and was overeating. Then just before new year I suffered a prolapsed disc and couldn't even get to a gym for nearly 6 weeks.

Anyway. It turns out that I found, with the help of a friend, a keto diet. My friend was already starting it so we did it together. I started to feel better straight away. The depression started to lift and I was able to swim and do gentle exercise at the gym.

The connection between weight, food, diets and depression is much more significant than I thought.
