Ketosis

I have been on this diet since Aug 17th and have only lost 3 lbs. I cannot get into ketosis and cannot figure out why. I am diabetic and my blood sugar numbers have come into the normal range.  What is keeping me from getting where I need to be?  Any suggestions I follow this very closely.

    what are your macros? How do you know you aren't in ketosis?

    I am also type two diabetic started keto and I had trouble getting into ketosis measured by urine test strips. 

     What worked for me was doing a two day fat fast. Google it for instructions but I had fat coffee, which is basically coffee with whipping cream, butter or coconut oil, Stevia and cocoa powder for breakfast. The fat keeps you full so you are not starving. Lunch was hard boiled egg yolks with mayonnaise and fat bombs for dinner or if I got hungry. I did not find it difficult to do, but psychologically getting over the “Ishouldn’t eat that” hump was more tricky!
