A food option is flavored electrolyte powder. Walmart carries flavor packets with electrolytes. Also Amazon has powders that are really good but can be expensive. The 10 packets for under $2 is cheaper and you can add extra electrolytes by putting in 1/8-1/4 tsp of Lite Salt or No salt to each liter.

My actual recipe for electrolyte tonic water for hiking/bicycling, (3qt CamelBak) is a squirt of SkinnyGirl, 2tbs of fresh lemon juice, 1tps of cream of tartar, 1tsp of Natural Calm Magnesium with a 1/4tsp of sodium bicarbonate (pharmaceutical).
The above is per liter mind you. I also take a a liter to work and sip on it for a couple of hours. Taste good and has plenty of electrolytes.
