I’m jumping aboard the Keto train!

Hi everyone 

My name is Adam and I’m 43, after watching loads of YT vids and reading up on Keto I’m finally taking the plunge!

 

I’m probably a little bit off with my preparation but I’m trying some things and seeing how it feels etc. Just had a breakfast of 4 large eggs scrambled with double cream (whipping cream to our friends across the pond!) a knob of butter to grease the pan, and 6 small rashers of streaky bacon. Had a 40g chunk of mature cheddar cheese on the side to 😉 all washed down with a nice cuppa!! Us brits love our tea! 

 

Looks good on the pie chart for macros but a lil bit dirty Keto as I don’t think I’ll be having bacon every day. What do you guys think and any tips for this journey??

  • Welcome Adam! The biggest tip I have is to preplan your meals to suit your macros. Or if you’re like me and are always deciding what to eat on the fly log it before eating to avoid surprises lol. 

    I cant tell you how many times I logged foods after eating them just to has this look on my face 😣 and be stuck avoiding all carbs for the remainder of the day.

    Calories matter. Sounds like you're loading up for breakfast just be careful not to overdo it. I am in the trenches with you.

    With the eggs if you scramble or omelette them, for 4 do 2 whole with yokes and 2 without yokes you will hardly tell difference but will drop calorie intake.
