Keto Meal portion size!!! Kindly answer fast as I'm too hungry LOL

I just started Keto on the 8th of September
I’m not so good at measuring my portions, I rely on Carb Manager but problem is if I’m out at a restaurant I can’t really weigh my food and where I am at the moment, most of the restaurants aren’t honest about anything

My Carb Manager said I should have
30g Carbs (that I usually don’t get I do 20g)
86g Fats
77g Protien

I have two quick questions not about one meal, but General quantities for the whole day.

Question 1:
How many pieces shall I eat from these ribs? And shall I remove the fats or keep it.
Its barbecued with keto approved ingredients

Question 2: is Tahini (sesame paste) Keto friendly?

If it’s within your macros and calories for the day it should be fine, imo. I would keep the fat because it makes you feel fuller. If you have a kitchen scale just weigh the ribs. If not just eat until you feel full then stop. Listen to your body!

  • LeBlanc well what is done is done

i ate already as I was invited out for lunch. I ate around 3 small chops with the fats on and ate one fatty beef kebab a long one maybe 10cm in length, I had no scale of course at the restaurant so I just ate

now I kind of calculated the whole meet kg that was on the table and divided it on the number of people who ate, and I most probably ate more or less 200g of lamb chops and about 200g of fatty mince beef

    the app says I had 75g of 77g :)

    shall I just follow that?

is everybody really sure that if I eat that amount of food I will loose weight???

    i absolutely don't feel like I'm on a diet

I know it seems like you won’t but as long as you are at a calorie deficit and you are following the diet, it will work. I am down 28 lbs (2 1/2 months)and going strong. Stick with it. Calculate your macros and do beat yourself up if you skip. Just get back on it and be true to yourself and remember that you won’t lose weight overnight.

I agree with her^ - listen to your body. Don't over eat, feel just satisfied. This is something I'm still learning also. I was never intune with my body- now I am starting to listen - what makes me feel good when I eat it, what makes me feel poorly ( like the melted butter with the kraft Mac and cheese powder on top of my pork clouds). I thought I would feel good and had a hankering for kraft Mac and cheese). Also, I have noticed for a long time, swelling of my body when I wake up in the morning - sheet wrinkles on my skin. The items I have been eating day before  cause this. Or to much of it. My body doesn't respond well is what this is telling me. To much dairy !

You must eat the fat on it. This all depends on your weight height etc also. And your goals. Tahini is a question mark just starting out. Go for lower carb veg if possible drizzled with oils or butter. Getting into a keto state can be difficult at first. Personally I wouldn't track( fats and proteins )  to hard at first week or so as long as your counting carbs. You may need more fats in the beginning to help ease thru the keto flu. I'm looking at your fats and that seems way to low. It should be considerabley higher than grams of proteins. Ketogenic is high fat, moderate protein.  There is a little difference between low carb lifestyle and ketogenic. Depends which one you want. Ketogenic is also for medical purposes, healing the body( thyroid, adrenals, etc) and weight loss.

haidymakram also remember. Going over your protein counts can  possibly stall you. 3-4 ounces per meal is what I typically go for. The size of the palm of my hand is a great gauge at a restaurant. Save the rest of the steak to be with an egg the next morning in butter 😊
