Fat Bombs

I even hesitate to ask because in a facebook LCHF group I was actually kicked out of the group because I had suggested to somebody with a huge sweet tooth to try a fat bomb when the cravings were so much that she was eating pure sugar.  what are your thoughts? I was reading another post about Thanksgiving and dessert- so I thought I would ask before I assumed ... I haven't had time to read through all the posts yet :) TIA

No one is going to over react, we will ask questions of each other but so far it has been to gain a better understanding of others & what they are doing. What was in the fat bombs? Jimmy Moore certainly recommends fat to cure sugar cravings.

In that post, I didn't even share the recipe... most times it is a berry ( strawberry/ blueberry) with coconut oil, butter, and cream cheese.  Some call for equal or Splenda

It’s a brilliant recipe if you leave any sweetener out. Our brains cannot tell the difference between any sweet taste that hits our receptors, it will summon insulin into the blood to deal with the sugar load it thinks is coming ~ that insulin has nothing to do and excess gets stored on your belly fat slowing weightloss too.  Pop the recipe in recipe swap Topic then it won’t get lost.

I would like to chime in on fat bombs. From my personal experience- with added artificial sweeetners it hindered my weight loss and I actually craved more starches. I gave up then. I restarted this journey in May untilizing as many Whole Foods as I can and having success.

badmojomn nothing beats lessons learnt through experience 💐

One thing I've noticed over the years..... is that my body seems to respond the same way to anything with a sweet taste ~appetite stimulation and a desire for more sweets. Which I now understand as the insulin in my body demanding sweet food to work on once it’s coursing through my veins!

So total abstinence works best for me. Awakening my sweetooth is never a good thing 😡😱

Joanna my daughter decided to try following the keto lifestyle due to her pcos. She is suffering the keto flu quite moderately at this time. I'm hoping to get her past the yuck part.  I think I actually felt better once I started all my vitamins and stopped the morning coconut oil in my coffee. Within 2 days I felt great. Not sure which one I could contribute it to however.  Chills waist down, headaches are her main symptoms now. She ate a lot of carbs prior so it must be a huge change for her body.

Joanna I really do feel I am more successful this time around avoiding fat bombs and artificial sweetners as much as I can. Last time I couldn't stick with it. Maybe one - two months and lost about 6 pounds in the scale and nothing really in my clothing. In my weakest moments I go for a small 7 ounce diet 7 up with some squeeze cheese or peanut butter. Not while foods but that's when I have a melt down and probably emotionally eating strictly.

badmojomn you have this nailed! We wouldn’t keep tempting ourselves with alcohol, cigarettes or any form of illegal drugs ~ if we had problems with them so why do it with sugar?! So glad your daughter is following you ~ working together will make you both stronger 🙌

Joanna I thought he said he wasn't a fan of the duck fat? And super expensive. I'm thinking it might take a lot of grease for me to fry an entire chicken!
