The per strips are not reliable it's a good tool as you start out but it's not important to get them dark. Any level is good. It's just testing the excess ketones that you are peeing out. As your body becomes fat adapted your body will use all the ketones you make and the strips won't read any thing. Keep eating right and you will see results. Drink plenty of water

Bellacocoa typically a month or so in you become fat adapted but everyone is different. As far as confirming you are in ketosis you can get the blood monitor but after a while you just know. The weight keeps dropping the clothes feel looser and if you are not as hungry. The sooner you think of this as a lifestyle change and not a diet the better off you will be. Just stay under the carbs and enjoy learning about keto. Im 8 months in down 70 pounds and I learn something new almost every day.
